It started, as all good ideas do, with a YouTube spiral.
As established, I am a person who loves hair metal (and we’ll use that term loosely here because Bon Jovi and Guns N’ Roses don’t really fall under that umbrella but that’s another story for another day). This blog will be where I unearth lost video treasures, study what happens when lead singers don’t play instruments, identify the one consistently overly-happy band member, and try to pinpoint exactly when Richie Sambora stopped appearing alongside other band members in Bon Jovi videos.
I’ll be moving through (and around) the genre mostly chronologically. If you have any suggestions for videos you’d like to see, let me know!
